World Mental Health Day 2018 – Why Suffering in Silence is Bad For You

It’s world mental health day today.

This is a good reminder of the importance of mental health.
When you hear the word “health”, the common perception is that it is all to do with your physical health. But mental health is just as important as physical health, if not more.
When you’re not mentally fit, everything in your life will be affected. Everything.
Many think that admitting to having mental health challenges makes them weak. It is not. Suffering in silence is NOT a sign of strength. It just makes you weak. Talk about irony…
So if you are facing challenges, speak up. Talk about them, seek help.
Look after your mental health.
And spread the word – it’s about time we got rid of the stigma surrounding mental health.
