New research claims that Mars very likely has a colourful marine life.
The study, at the California Institute of Technology, has found that the salty underground lakes on Mars can generate enough oxygen to support microbes.
This can mean that there is support for sea sponges and other colourful marine life beneath the surface of Mars.
The study also claims that there may be places “with sufficient oxygen” all over Mars.
Life on Mars might not be that unlikely a future after all…
