According to the study, run by Stockholm University in Sweden, practising in front of a virtual crowd can significantly reduce your stress and anxiety levels.
The study had 50 volunteers use a VR headset to simulate giving a speech in various scenarios, namely a hall, an office meeting, and a wedding. After three hours of practice, the participants reported feeling a lot more confident and far less anxious.

So the next time you have a speech coming up, try practising using a VR headset. If you don’t have one, don’t worry, doing it in front of a mirror should help too.
